Selecting a jury, second nature to experienced trial lawyers, requires intuition, insight and experience. Your effectiveness in selecting favorable jurors is the only protection you have against trying your case in front of an unfair or biased jury.

During voir dire the attorney is often considering the content of a juror's last answer or thinking about the next question to ask. Even the best attorney cannot afford to take the necessary time to listen closely, record the response, watch that individual's body language, and watch other juror reactions to the question.
